Tara Arts is
involved in producing pure quality Tibetan Thankas (scroll
paintings) with genuine traditional style and touch. It also
forms a learning place of thanka painting skills for newcomers.
Thankas represent the true essence of art which depicts the
pictorial form of gods, goddesses, mandalas, and other
structures of great religious significance. |

Great deal of
concentration and hard work is put into each and every thanka by
keeping in mind the minute details of outlines and color shades. |

Tara Tibetan
Thanka Arts is located in Tibetan settlement, Bylakuppe in South
India. It was established by Mr. Jampa, and still being run by
the same. He has had thanka painting trainings under Gen.
Dhargye lak in Nepal for few years and Gen. Sangye Yeshi in
Dharamsala Ghangchen Kyishong library for few more.
He has
dedicated approximately 13 years in developing the skills in
thanka painting and after which he undertook the responsibility
of paintings of new Dzonkarchoeten monastery. He also served in
Hunsur as a teacher of thanka painting for 3 years. He has also
extended his service to many monasteries like Drepung loseling,
Sera Jhe and Mey, and also Kagyue monastery. |

Right now, Tara
Tibetan Thanka Arts is not only involved in producing quality
thanka paintings, but also serves as learning institute, where
youngsters who drop out from schools can acquire and develop all
the necessary skills and expertise of thanka painting and gain
self independence. |
